Welcome to the South!
I am the passionate and dedicated Founder and CEO of the Southside Elite Cheer Program. As an alum of Everman High School and a former Varsity cheerleader on the Bulldog squad, I understand the positive impact that cheerleading can have on young lives. This passion led to the creation of the non-profit cheer program, which has since become a thriving and successful organization dedicated to empowering young athletes in a safe and supportive environment.
Currently, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Texas Christian University and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am also a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Texas, bringing a wealth of expertise and knowledge to my work in the non-profit sector.
A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I am committed to public service, sisterhood, and scholarship. Through my work with the sorority and my non-profit cheer program, I have been able to make a significant impact in the lives of young girls from low-income backgrounds.
I believe in the power of teamwork, dedication, and hard work to help young athletes achieve their goals, both on and off the mat. Under my leadership, the program has consistently ranked within the top five in all age groups and currently holds the #2 ranking in recreation cheer per UYFL.
As the driving force behind Southside Elite Cheer Program, I am devoted to creating opportunities for young girls to develop their skills, build confidence, and forge lasting friendships, all while fostering a love for the sport of cheerleading.
Thank you for choosing Southside Elite!
Cheers *\0/*,
Taylor Covington, LMSW
